today was my 3 yr old sons fancy dress competition, i wanted to build an iron man suit for him.
tried to source it online, but it was available only from china for around 40 plus $ and 3 weeks for delivery....
so, i decided to make it. after reading lots of stuff from rpf pages, refering pictures,finally i used PU foam (sleeping pad) and made the suit.,
since its for a 3 yr old, i minimized all the fine details (as it wont be seen)...after spending 10 days.,i completed it and my kid was too happy to wear it to school.
thanks a lot to all the rpf members who made the iron man suit and inspired me to do this project.
the feedback i received from school authorities was amazing.
total cost:
high density pu foam (6x5 ft) : 10$
paint - 1.5 $
acrylic paint - 4$
brush - 1 $
mask - 4 $
3mm foam (A4) - 1.2 $
arc reactor 9v battery - 0.4$
arc reactor LED - 9 no's - ripped from existing toy car
total 22.1 $
