Update on Forearm armors:

We finally molded the forearm armors. Center greeblie is recessed, so its best if we would mold it separately and joined to the main forearm right before painting. It was also easier to clean sand it if separate. Forearm fiberglass armors in white primer paint.

Bicep armors and hand plates - finished with bondo work and ready for molding.

Spats fully finished. Adhered the flaps to the spat main body to overlap. Last 3 pics shows the spats wrap around the bottom of the shin.

Small update:

Tailor called me to check samples of fabric gaskets he made. Its 2 black fabrics sandwiching a thin foam and sewing lines having 1/4" distance from each other.
2nd pic is of card belt boxes prototypes.

I thought about using corduroy. for the ribbed section - your thoughts?

I don't think corduroy would look right. I'm getting a sample of ribbed rubber "v" matting. The seller claims it is extremely flexible and would bend if wrapped around your elbow. I'll let you know how it goes once I receive it!

Widescreen - I would be interested to know as well. Seems like a good candidate. I would be favoring thin materials like cloth than actual rubber as they cut down on mobility.

I found this recently but ribs are too small. I cant remember what it is or where I got it but I knew I used it for making a prototype of a 1/6 scale Gemini capsule. Best guess would be some sort of shelf liner. Its about 1mm thick and ribs are spaced about 1/8". Ribbed placemats could also be explored if not much else. I do know that the TFA TK uses a ribbed belt strap as well, but Im guessing smaller ribs than the body gaskets.

Yes, from what I was told by a friend with the Anovos TFA kit the belt is a ribbed rubber and is finer than the gaskets.
