TFA official prop licensee

Apologies if this has been asked, couldn't find the answer - but is there an official prop co. for TFA? Is it Anovos? I mean like blasters and such:

unfortunately only one would be EFX but they have had a terrible reputation lately with their delays and lack of communication.

Anovos as far as I know only has the license to do costumes and not props.

Hopefully EFX will lose their license and Anovos picks it up

As far as I know, Anovos has the license for costumes AND premier line for TFA. But they seem to only have the license for costumes ONLY for Episode 1-6. The premier line are very similar to the fibreglass helmets that MR/eFX used to do back in the day. Their costume armor and helmets are mainly made out of vacform plastic.

eFX DOES NOT have the license for TFA. They only have the license for Episode 1-6. They have the license to do premier line of prop replicas, helmets, etc from 1-6. That being said, as many have mentioned (and griped), eFX does not seem to be doing anything with the license. Their product releases are met with endless delays after delays. Still waiting for the Biker Scout helmet that was supposed to arrive in October last year (!!)

So is there someone who's going to make things like Stormtrooper blasters, Finn's Rifle, Chewie's Bowcaster, Han's blaster, hell, a TFA version of Luke's saber...

I read that no one will be making blasters anymore (due to arms restrictions etc). That what I read somewhere. For the other stuff, Anovos will be responsible to do costume "quality" versions AND premier (read LE fibreglass) versions of all TFA products.

They can not do props, shoes, weapons etc. That is from them.

So who will do props????? And Shoes and Boots for that matter????

There were some discussions about QMX to make TFA props. But not sure how true they are.

Waaaiiit, don't you hate that movie?

Yep,.. hate the prequels too but I had and will have a few helmets and sabers from it.

The new Stormy Helmet is the only thing I want from the new film and the Anovos Standard one will do just fine but,...

I am very curious to see if there even is going to be a Prop Licensee for the new stuff and I still have not heard officially if EFX is going to retain the 1-6 license and if so for how long.

I kind of hope that Disney takes on prop replica and produces them under there own label and makes them Disney Store and Park items.

This would make sense. Walk into the Disney Store, purchase high-end prop, walk out. Disney cuts out middle-man. Earn back some of that 4 Billion.

Doesn't Hasbro hold the license for the weapons? Blasters and sabers and so on?

I doubt it. The FX Sabers and voice changer helmets are high-end toys.

The Force FX is a Hasbro toy. Black series is Hasbro.

I see what you mean. But the black series is a pretty close thing to a mass produced replica.

Still no word on Licensee. I thought maybe they were holding out until the film's release.

Maybe Disney does not want replica props made?????

Very odd???????

It seems like prices for all licensed SW collectibles is skyrocketing as well. A lightsaber replica would probably cost $800 now.
