Terry Pratchett's Discworld "Iconograph" functional prop

If you're not familiar with Terry Pratchett's Discworld. A short summary.

The world is flat, it rides through space on the back of 4 elephants that are standing on a giant tortoise. The cities and people are absurd, death is retired and pork products are ethereal.

Amongst the absurdity is the Iconograph. A "Camera" powered by an imp that instantly paints what you show it.

I'm making one using a Fuji Instax instant camera and a wooden box.

And this is where its at after 1 day. Still need to sort out buttons, controls and parts of the shroud.

Some progress today. The Salamander Servicing Instructions, The strap is installed and the side plate w/temp retaining pin.
