Hi everybody.
I need to repaint an Icons T800 tooth...wanted to go with white but I think it won't do the job as the other teeth are not quiet white so here's my question : what color would you use to paint this kind of tooth, please ?
Thanks.

Most teeth are not white; they usually have some yellow and brown to them. You can take a shade of an off white and mix in some yellow ochre and a little brown and see how it turns out. You can use this as your base shade and then thin out some other colors and wash them over the tooth to color it to your liking. It's probably going to be hard to match a single tooth to the surrounding teeth and make them look homogenous. In dentistry, even with tooth specific porcelain shades, photos, and shade guides we still have great difficulty in matching a single tooth shade to the surrounding teeth. Good luck!

Yes, I will try to do like that. Or paint it white and make some color weathering after that !!!

can you replace it with a real tooth forma dental supply place?

Hmmm.....I'm afraid it would cost an arm, no ?

I have a bunch of loose acrylic teeth. If you can post a pic of the tooth/teeth I may be able to help you out.

I posted a painting tip a while back in a thread about painting cast (white) resin "Angel" teeth, but I can't seem to find it now. :unsure

Oh man, that looks like a tough one to match! What's wrong with it that requires repainting?

Any idea how hard it would be to remove the tooth to replace it?

LOL....what's wrong ???? The skull is missing that tooth...so simple :)
So I made a new one with putty and need to paint it the correct color !!

I think the teeth are glued on the skull, nothing else.

if you can start out with an acrylic tooth, it will be much easier to paint/stain this to match the other teeth rather than starting out with a putty tooth.
