I am getting closer to the end of building a T-800 arm in solid metal.
Parts are cast Pewter, machined aluminium and steel accessories

I have the fingers left to cast as well as the cuff.

I can’t wait to get the arm finished, but the fingers will be the biggest job. I am going to have to cut up then modify and fix each part, before molding and casting in metal.....this is to allow the fingers to be fully articulated. The poor casting doesn’t help.
So far every part moves, even the wrist ball joint.
I will be casting the cuff section next, then the fingers.

Wow. I like this prop even more so than the skull to be honest. Way back in the early 90’s I had a Grey Zon (pretty sure on name) kit, from the days I would scan the classifieds in Starlog I think. Yours is 1000% better and probably better than the actual prop. Where are you getting that flexible conduit? I have been googling like crazy and had decided it couldn’t be purchased and then see this thread! Awesome job as with the skull. Waiting for you to just up and make 500lbs full ensoskeleton!

Thanks, it’s been on my list for a while to build. Yeah the recasts from the movie prop are a little rough, but nothing some filler and sanding hasn’t fixed so far. Some parts have been machined and completely remade.
The flexible conduit for the cable is just a metal USB from EBay, with the wiring pulled out.

Articulating fingers and a movable wrist joint looks like a lot of work. Looking forward to watching your progress.

Been working on the cuff section, the cast was a little poor as the mold didn’t hold up... so I will need to cut some details back in. But that’s no problem.
I test fit a few parts prior to polishing.
Just the fingers left to make now.
