Terminator T-800 Blueprints

In preparation for machining a terminator arm, I decided to make a set of blueprints from a cast resin arm. I am using Autodesk Inventor 6.0 and I'm measuring everything to the nearest 1/32". I don't know how much the casting may have shrunk or warped from the original dimensions, so if anyone has more accurate measurements I will be happy to correct the drawings.
I am planning to proceed in four phases:
1) Produce a set of blueprints that are accurate to the resin castings - Mostly complete
2) Replace appropriate resin features with found items (screws, washers, etc.) - Mostly complete
3) Modify parts to be more screen accurate (to the T2 arm) - Just starting
4) Convert arm from static to animatronic - Just starting

amazing amount of work gone into this, kudos, I think that if you did them up to mke them look like actual skynet files they'd be a great piece in themselves just visually! but on top of that all accurately detailed, scaled and presented! Amazing effort.

Yeah I second that, it sure take a lot of time drafting in 3D and to produce workshop fabrication drawing to manufacture from, very nice work. :thumbsup

Yeah, I thought it would be cool to make it look like something that might have been in their office in the second film. Maybe keep the drawings in a 3 ring binder with a Cyberdyne logo on it.
Eventually I hope to dress up the drawings a bit to make them look more like pieces of an actual machine, rather than just static components (add internal components to the pistons, ect). I guess I should also correct the dates on the drawings to place them in the timeline of the film too.

yeah, with your skils im sure you could rattle out some made up explosions of the inner mechanism and such. would be great prop for a fan film....... AHAHAAAAHHAAAAAA, sorry, just thought...

This is very cool. A good way to see if it shrank might be to compare it to a real human arm as they should, in theory, be the same size. Now i need to make friends with a machinist lol.

I don't understand your question, the drawings have measurements and I have posted them here for anyone to download. Are you having trouble saving them?

As a first year fitter and turner who dabbles in AutoCAD I just want to say thank you for the mammoth effort you've put into this Conqueror Worm! I know a few of us on forums such as the RPF consider pulling apart replicas and the like to draw them up for online communties, but to actual get around to doing it? And a T800 arm? And in such detal?!? Mate you are a legend in my book.

I don't know when I'll find the time to make one, but I'll be damned if I won't grab these off you just incase one day I have three or four months spare time to work on one.
