Hey all I figured since I finally finished my TARDIS for the local Tennessee convention Adventurecon that I should stop in and throw some photos of it on here. Quick note the photos are a mixture of before the convention as well as some my friends have emailed me that were taken at the convention.
Enjoy
ps the 10th doc cosplayer there is me for some reason I couldn't get my hair to stay up oh well!

This is just too cool!! You did a GREAT job!
How was the reception in Pigeon Forge??
i.e. How did the Tardis stand up against Rosco P. Coltrane!!
Last trip through that area we saw at least 3 General Lee roadside "displays"!!!!

BTW, do you have a name for the color of paint you used on this?

Shylaah

Great TARDIS awesome build.

For what its worth the 2010 Matt Smith TARDIS paint color is an automotive paint

In the US, there is a different color name for 55A. its a Subaru Color

Year Color Code Type
2000 - SYDNEY BLUE PRI 55A METALLIC

Wow its nice to see the thread bumped up!
As for the cost it was around 600-700 usd this includes paint, wood, screws, hinges, signs, window plastic, handles and lamp. The paint cost would have been way cheaper if I had not repainted it 5 different times. So 5 gallons at 30 usd each ya you can see where most of my budget went.

As far as the reception goes the whole event was amazing! Everyone that I spoke with loved the tardis there were even a few people that paid the actors to take photos with the tardis which was weird but a heck of a compliment.

I eventually want to get a proper black wash coating on it to give it that beat up look.
Also the paint color is called amsterdam its a stain that my local lowes carries.

Here are some more photos as well

Hey all not really much to add build wise but I had an amazing chance to get some good photos today for the wheres the tardis contest.
The photo shoot was done at the titanic museum here in TN with their permission of course. For as little time as we had to set up shoot and break down plus fighting the weather and excluding certain parts of the box I think the shoot went well. Please let me know what you think .
Also if you dig what you see I would appreciate a FB like to help my odds in the contest just follow the Tardis Entry #29 | Where's The Tardis? and like.
