Tennant Dr. Who suit fabric and Reference pics???

Anyone got any leads on this? I am taking a tailoring class (I already know a good deal, but this is an old school, pad-stitched, all the bells and whistles tailoring class) and I need to make a suit. Thought it would be fun, just for kicks to make the doc's suit. I just need fabric.

Any help would rock!

edit: It occurs to me that a good source for reference pics would be a boon as well.

Hi,
From what I have seen, the fabric was a printed cotton blue stripes on brown. if you look around on the internet you might find some. Search for Magnoli clothiers and you will find a suit for sale as well as the coat and tie. If you want to do it yourself, obviously, then search about your local fabric shops ebay etc for fabric. For mine I found some suiting Fabric, in my local Fenwicks (uk department store) that was a close enough fabric with the right background brown and clear blue pinstripe. The stripes are too close together and are too thin since this is a pinstriped fabric and not a printed cotton. I did find a printed cotton fabric by googling it, and it was the lining to a handbag! but the fabric was slightly better than mine. However since I have started, i am sticking with mine. I am sure people on the board will be willing to help you.
Just have a search about, you might be lucky and find it!

Searches have turned up nil. I've exhausted all my staple internet suppliers and there isn't much in town as far as high end fabric stores. In the end I may resort to ringing up NY and getting Rosen & Chaddick to track something down for me.

On a side note Lcars. The fact that you tried to point me to Indy for a suit tells me you didn't read my post at all. Looking for fabric here bud.

Sorry, I was just rying to show you that there were other fabrics around that looked closer to Tennant's than perhaps mine does in terms of spacing!

Nothing to contribute to this thread other than to say thanks for the leads. I had no idea Magnoli offered all of those Dr Who replicas! They've got jackets, suits, ties... oh my! Great stuff. Now just gotta save a few clams.

I think I have a couple of pictures of one of the tennant suits that was on display in Cardiff a few months ago. I'll see if I can dig them up.
