TE Gloss Armor

Dayum Clutch, that's one sweet looking suit :thumbsup

I really love the pics too, congrats.

Cheers,

Kraig

Not to hijack Clutch's thread, but I think it would be cool, in celebration of Clutch's purchase, for everybody that owns the TE Glossy styrene armor to speak up and post pics! I think there are only 30-35 of us.

Thanks again guys. Veedox, that would be cool to see more suits!

Congrats on the suit! Looks fantastic. I can remember how excited I was when mine arrived.

I will show a few pics of my glossy TE. :) Here I have him decorated with a Hero helmet and ANH handplates.

In these pics, I have switched to an ESB helmet and handplates.

Thanks for letting everyone show their beautiful armor in this thread. :)

there is a glossy suit with one of your v1 faceplates here too, but not from TE! :love

soon to be revealed... :cool

The only thing I don't like about those suits (apart from it's maker) is the chest plate. That bottom lip looks too ....loose. The AP lip has been tightened up to look more screen accurate.

Apart from that, very nice suit indeed.

That is a shortcoming of just about all the armor out there. Gino, you did 12 hero faceplates then?

No, they were a mix of hero and stunt. All v1 style though.

You know what I can't wait for? Gino to reply to this thread at LEAST 12 more times reminding us that we all have his faceplates on our helmets. With the supposition that we all intensely care.

Or more to the point, reminding TE that they are NOT HIS faceplates, in a forum where TE cannot rebuke.

Unlike another forum where Gino is doing this very same thing under the very same topic.

Not really reminding, more like informing. Not everyone knew/knows that the face they have comes indirectly from me. Some people want to know. Also, I wouldn't want people to think they were his faces when they were actually mine. Chances are if you got a glossy helmet from Matt, and the face is really sharp, it's one of mine as he was never able to have them formed that sharp.
If anyone has one of these Matt glossy helmets and wants to know if its his or mine, feel free to email me a pic and I'll let you know.

Don't get me wrong Gino, I'm no TE zealot, I do appreciate your input, and I don't think anyone is denying that they have your faceplates. I actually LIKE the fact that my helmet is a composite of sorts, it's most likely the only GINO piece I will ever own. However, the persistent remarks concerning the faceplates in what is only a showoff your TE gloss armor thread comes off looking like your remarks are directed to TE. Given I have witnessed your arguements with him on another forum only compounds my observation.

As an owner of a set of TE armor and having considered picking up a set of glossy armor, I can appreciate the info that Gino has contributed. I'm sure those of you who frequent these and other boards might find it redundant, but I can assure you that as frequent and informed as I may be, I still was unaware of the faceplate background. So thanks to everyone who've posted picks and "facts".

Actually, one guy is denying, unmentioned on this forum but covered here:

now we are waiting to see that someone tells us all of the faceplates are recasts of his work :lol

but this armor looks very cool
whoever made it
i just look at it and saw a nice trooper
happy owners

This is getting confusing...:confused

I'll say what I know. I saw these faces once when Matt was working stacked at a back wall. I asked what they were, he told me, then said they were not great and he probably couldn't use them. So when it was feasible, he didn't. It was usually feasible, he formed a lot of faces just fine. Clutch's face isn't one of them, that's all.
