Taun taun taxidermy complete!/ Kit now ready/finish pics pg 9

Well here's what I got so far. 2 days into the sculpt and I have it mostly blocked out and ruffed out. This is klean klay or clean clay, however you spell it, over a styro foam block. The side horns are also styro and will be sculpted over with clay. They will be removable for molding. The ears are just pieces of leather put up for looks. I plan to get taxidermy ear forms, elk? I'm getting ready to start the skin detail, and I'm looking for some feedback before I get to far along. Thanks. Russell

that's awesome!!! You should do a whole body 1:1 and then if your heat goes out you can slice it open and climb in!!!:lol

No not the 'Taun' head, they would just recast/resell it. If you want to a put the fear of God into a BS/RC scum, send Jar Jar's head, 'cuz they won't be able to resell that no matter what.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. My plan was to mount it on a wall taxidermy stile. Also I am taking alot of liberties here, in placing my own vision into the design(please tell me if I get too far off). Part of that is due to lack of really good reference pics. Hard to tell from screne shots , what's under the snow and fur. Anyone have any please send em my way. As far as the neck, I thought of just forming it out of sheets of soft foam, like 1 1/2" thick, then getting some really good fur to put over it. Also I'm torn as to what to make the cast out of. Was thinking fiberglass, that would keep costs down, but it would also be nice if it had a silicone skin. That way you could punch hair into it.

Maybe a board member here will chime in with some pointers as he has done a Taun-Taun Taxi-mount.

pic update, I finally learned how to insert big pics. Just having fun with the skin texture and blocking out the side horns.
Thought I might get an "INTERESTED" list going. It would depend on the interest on this if I take it to completion.

Looks really cool! Have you looked at the stopmotion luke on taun-taun thread on the studio scale section? There are some really good pics!
