Hey there.
Long time lurker, First time poster.
I have been viewing everyone progress modifying this suit and making it look great on a budget, Seen lots of potential, lots of tricks and and items used to mod these.
Cant wait to do mine.
Now for this one, im going a little above and beyond.
Already ordered the suit, just waiting for it to get here.
for the time being...
Ive already began testing and building my webshooters.
For the webshooters, Im Going the basic budget route.
Popping the caps off of aerosol cans for the base, carving space for the web cartridge's Using pen parts for the shooters, The duct tape is temporary to hold them together.
I filled the cap with hot glue, and made a little pocket for the cartridge.
Ive seen tons of pictures of the suit. Im going to try and make it as movie accurate as possible.
Im going to tape all the webs, except the ones that aren't aligned properly, Fix those with an airbrush and a paint pen, Then im going to lay a honey comb pattern mesh over each and every square.
Trying to give it the same feel as the movie by using darker shades of red, or black.
And yes, i am planning on making the suit 3d. for that, im going to use liquid latex, and probably apply it through a syringe, But ive heard it drys really fast. From what ive read and seen, it seems to me that it will absorb into the fabric and stretch better than fabric paint...Buuut ill run some tests : )
as you can see, Ive already ran tests with the mesh.
I bought this morph suit during halloween for no other reason besides it was on clearance for having fake blood on it.
For this test i used spray paint, and the mesh is just sitting flat and not stretched, which is what i will be doing for the actual suit.
I also layed some honeycomb on a piece of paper and providing a diagram for how im going to do the shading and honey comb. going to use very thin tape and going to cover up some of the red along the web, to give it the same effect as the movie.
