TARDIS (Tennant style) Detailed Dimensions WANTED

I give up. I've Googled, used the RPF search and even searched on that TARDIS forum (what a terrible layout)...and I still can't seem to find detailed 1:1 dimension of it. Dimensions and a how-to would be awesome...but beggers can't be choosers.

Can anyone point me to a direct link -- or -- where I can aquire accurate dimensions so I can build my own?

Yeah, that's all I was able to find. Converting all that into 1:1 figures is going to be a nightmare. I was hoping there were plans out there too.

My understanding is that the show's producers have asked people not to put out any detailed plans or dimensions. It's pretty silly if you ask me, but it's their prerogative.

I was able to find this though. You should be able to load it into Google Sketch-Up and get any dimensions that you need.

This guy has a pretty nice build guide, but it's light on dimensions and diagrams. I would read through this, then use the dimensions from Sketch-Up to make some blueprints.

The actual guide is a little buried in the page, but you should be able to find it.

The Doctor Who Technical Manual

This is most probably dimensions of the "old" TARDIS used in the original series run from the 70s/80s. I picked up a paper copy of this book some years ago and it does have dimensions, in metric, for building a full size blue box. This may be the closest you find.

I have also (somewhere) TARDIS blueprints (interior and exterior) that I downloaded from the Dr. Who prop site. I'll see if I can locate those and a web link for you later today. -R

This site has dimensions in U.S. Measurements at half scale. So you'd double the numbers to build an actual sized box.

You will have to navigate to the "Replicas" section and then click on Build your own to receive instructions on downloading the manual.

These are all the decent designs and such I've found. May not be completely what you are looking for, but I have found them helpful. Fortunately I am able to use a digital TARDIS for most of my projects, but I would like to have one out back on the patio some day. -R

I recommend joining. Once logged in, the "layout" is more user friendly.
