Tamiya AS spray compatibility

So I was thinking of decanting some AS-20 Insignia White paint and mixing it with a more pure white paint, in order to tone down the tan tinge. Since Insignia White is a useful colour, but not actually white. But to my surprise, it seems Tamiya don't make an actually white AS spray paint.

Does anyone know if they sell a bottle paint that's compatible with the AS formula? Thanks!

Try TS-27 Matte White.

It would be far easier and less costly to simply add a few drops of another color to a Tamiya bottle white.

That is true. Just that I already have some AS-20. It'd be good to know if it's chemically compatible with other Tamiya paint lines.

The Tamiya sprays are acrylic lacquers, they are compatible with each other but not with the bottle paints. It's odd that they don't offer Insignia White in bottle form.

But as fritzthefox suggests it may be easier to use the bottle paints for mixing. White with a bit of black and deck tan will pretty much make Insignia White, and you can vary it to your liking. Or spray the AS20 straight then mist over it with plain white bottle paint by airbrush.
