:( Sunday October 8th 2017 is the last day to enjoy TERMINATOR 2-3D Battle Across Time, which made its debut in April 1996.

The 12 minute film cost $24 million to shoot, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong and Robert Patrick.

Having never experienced it and being a huge T2 fan, I suppose it's time for this fan to take a 8000 km/5000 mile trip across the pond and visit Universal Studios. :cool
A bit of a bummer I can't ride my Fatboy there :p

Anyone else going?

Oh no, I hate when they take out good rides. I was sad when they took out Back to the Future. Sure it was a dated ride, but it was still good.

The OI article is wrong about the digital upgrade, but it really is a shame that it wasn't done. The attraction has a lot of life left in it IMO, but I understand that it doesn't really pull in the crowds

Actually surprised it has not been shut down years ago, cool ride in its day

and I'm surprised it gets shut down right after the theatrical re-release of Terminator 2.

Perhaps they thought would have an effect on the amount of people visiting the ride... and didn't :unsure

I've heard rumors that it may be an attempt to lean away from gun violence within park attractions going forward

I guess, these days, a 3D movie isn't very special, even if the image quality is much better than what you get in a regular 3D theatre. (dual 70 mm projectors vs. flickering 2K)
Also, the computer-animated effects look really dated.

I wish they would put the 12-minute reel as an extra on the new BluRay release of T2, and of course in full 3D on 3D editions.
