T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread

^^
I don't see the difference between the position...seems to me that the piece in question is at the same level. Maybe the angle at which the pic was taken seems to place it in a "lower" position:unsure:

Here are all the pictures from the Propstore auction.

I’ve never seen that feature on any screen used T1 or T2 endo arm. I will look again to see if I can find it in some of my newer ref. But again, I want to state that my personal opinion on these particular items is that neither of them were ever actually seen on screen.

I do suspect they were made from molds that someone made from T1/T2 parts. But, they were cast in metal by someone and assembled improperly in some areas. I mean, the arm on the right has mostly T2 parts with some T1 pistons in the hand area. The one on the left I believe was made using molds taken from the real T1 hand/arm (maybe the same mold as the Bob Burns items?) Still, I don’t believe it is a production used item. I certainly cannot find a single frame of this pitted casting in the film.

However, I’d love for someone to prove me wrong. I was saddened to see it sold at auction as if it were screen used. So, I would caution using anything about these as reference for what the overall arm/hand should look like. That said, they do have some aspects that have helped clarify some missing information that can’t be clearly seen through film still frames.

Too Much Garlic I see where you found evidence that the piston on the thumb side was either longer or sat higher than the outer piston. I do see that in some examples. I also see examples where the pistons are essentially even, and in some cases the outer piston (little finger side) looks longer. Here's some evidence from Endos that are more credible than the auction arms:

For the T1 and T1.5 Endoskeleton, I think the right arm has the piston looking longer on the thumb side and the left arm is the opposite. Or at least it's too close to call, and maybe not intentional:

So accuracy in this case may be subjective. Go with your preference :)

That is a nicely made M1 vinyl skull.

EDIT: that's so weird. The front cover on the top of the skull isn't like the M1, but like the T2:3D and later (LFS and licensed). Wonder what's up with that. The base is definitely M1 style.

And vinyl teeth doesn't break like that. And the area above the upper teeth is not sanded down like many replicas.

I know they didn’t use the T800 endo for the show, but I never watched it all (don’t be mad at me) and so I didn’t know if that skull appeared anywhere in the show.

They may have just used it in preproduction. While they were redesigning the skull. I really liked the show. Best thing after T1 and T2.
2nd best for me, after T2-3D. But yeah, great show killed off way too early. Could have used the SALVATION budget for a few seasons of TSCC.

Prototype skull or whatever:

Actual practical skull used in the show:

Sorry, self indulgent post here. 20 years ago, I owned an HCG endoskull bust. I sold it after owning it for a few years to free up some cash. I never really missed it until recently when an opportunity came up to own the updated Cinemaquette version. The sentimental side of me said “buy it”

It was like seeing an old friend again when I opened the box.

It’s a very nice replica. I owned the first version. Should never have got rid of it.
