T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread

My model:

I'll wait until I get the braided tube that I ordered before I hollow out the two cap sections that it goes into. After that's all settled I'll upload it here.

Cool model. I think the bottom skirt of the angled top piece should have pinched narrow indents like a real piston connector. I believe Jaz Creations talks about it in his build videos where he opted out of doing it like the real ones, because it didn't look like it was there in the reference he showed, but it does seem to be there on the props I've seen pictures of (better reference since he made his awesome metal endo).

Has anyone here got a company that they can recommend to have parts plated? I’m really worried about some of these tiny tiny tabs on the fingers and, from what I’ve read, plating parts increases strength dramatically.

Finding more random missing parts from the 2 sets of t-800 arm files. The blueprints by Conqueror_Worm call this part out as the Thumb Cable Fitting. Here is that stl using Conqueror_Worm blueprints:

Has anyone seen the Bob Burns collection? Especially his Terminator stuff? Seems he has some T1 parts among his stuff. Would be interesting to see if the skull has the T1 rear cover piece. It's pretty difficult to see in the low quality Youtube videos.

If anyone is looking into buying the 3DMakerPro Mole 3D scanner, then I posted something that may be worth your while in the Off Topic section. I just bought one due to liking what I saw in the Youtube videos. Now I just need to buy a new computer, so I can actually run it. Mine is sadly too outdated to work with it or any scanner out there for that matter.

I'm really interested in seeing what types of models you are able to produce with the scanner. A T2 endo head might be a *cough* good challenge ;)

Has anyone remade this forearm cuff to the updated blueprints? I was able to find and convert Andrew's flat model into the wrapped around shape, an even bloat it a bit to get closer to the final shape, but I'm not getting the correct look. I don't think that I can take it any further at this point so I'm at a roadblock. Wondering if anyone else has done this to include all of the correct details? Conqueror_Worm - Did you ever complete this piece in autodesk or stl?

I've been away for a pretty long time. But, I was having a rough day yesterday and wondered what kinda Terminator stuff was going on lately to cheer me up. I took a light spin through your thread and I believe I have a ton of information to share.

I've also accumulated rare endoskeleton parts and reference since I was last active here. It will take me a bit to get rolling, but I really feel like I could contribute to this discussion. I will say straight up, that I cannot promise that I can share everything, but I believe I can help.

I’ve been obsessed with the Endoskeleton since T1 came out and I’ve chased it as a prop/replica for over 20 years. I have been fortunate to have made some connections over the years to people who possess and/or made screen used endoskeletons or the commercial replicas.

To give you some proof, I’ll come out and say that I am the owner of one of the skull castings you recently posted pictures of (from Worthpoint). The seller worked on T2 and T2:3D with John Rosengrant who gave them this casting in the mid 90s:

Anyway, I feel like I might be hijacking your LFS thread, don’t mean to. So, I’ll leave it at that for now. I think I can answer some of your questions but I think we also have some difference of opinion on details like screen used tells. So, I also don’t want to cause trouble/drama here (it’s one of the reasons I walked away from this place years ago). Let me know!

I was planning on renaming the thread to "T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread", as it has turned into something wonderful and people are sharing in a way I haven't seen since the EndoBuildersClub days. Please feel free to share as much as you can and do not worry about disagreeing with me. I do not have all the facts and I'm just presenting things as I've been told, researched and what I see. I am always in search of the truth, though can be a little stubborn along the way, but please never hold that back from sharing.

But hot damn. That skull is a beauty. Pretty cool you have it... and I can only say I'm a little jealous, but glad it went to an enthusiast. :)

I followed, from afar, those wonderful updates that too much garlic posted on this thread:cool::cool:(y)(y)
It's great to see that it has evolved into a more complete info-knowledge one with great pics and some details I hadn't seen before!
Dana; thanks a million for that fantastic picture of that skull casting:cool::cool:(y)(y)
