Saw it to-night and like all but one Pixar (Nemo) - I, of course, loved it!
But I'm not sure why everyone is claiming it's so weep-inducing? I read beforehand that it was a weeper and was anticipating weepy scenes coming, but it wasn't until I got home and read this thread that I even knew which scenes it was that people were weeping up at.
I do weep from time to time in movies, so I'm not heartless (Jessie being donated in TS2 gets me every time). But the hand holding scene wasn't sad to me at all - I was more of an anxious thing than a weepy thing - like: "I wonder how they'll get out of this situation, 'cause I know they're not going to let them die". Maybe if one didn't make it (but showed up later, of course) - it would be more of a weeper.
And the Andy playing with Bonnie scene wasn't weep-inducing to me because it seemed like everyone involved was alright with the situation. Andy was ok with letting the toys go, the toys were happy they were finally being played with (after many years) and will stay together and Bonnie got some new toys - nothing at all weepy about that to me.
I feel bad now for not weeping - I think I'll go cry myself to sleep. :cry
Oh, and Day & Night is probably the best Pixar short ever!
