SyFy Channel's Face Off Television Show

I don't know. I want to like it but it's too much about the drama and not enough about the process/work. I also think the guys on it wear way too much lipstick, or maybe there are way too many guys on it that wear lipstick.

Hopefully it will get better toward the end as they weed out the other not so good people.

That ostrich thing was horrible, both of those chicks should have been gone.

did the guy get eliminated tonight? I tried watching the full show, but lost interest pretty fast.......the ostrich was horrible, but that one mutant was pretty bad as well....

the elephant man was my favorite..

Hate reality shows- contest shows- contrived manufactured drama shows, self-congratulatory, condescending judges etc etc.

So tired of these things...I wish Survivor had never aired.

The only quality TV is on HBO or Showtime thse days.

Rant over. :)

I'll watch it again.

I have to say, it was a little disappointing that some of them were complaining about the first task where they had to use the flowers and items in the room. I personally think that's a really neat idea, allows for plenty of creativity, and should have yielded much more impressive results. 99% of the results were really lacking.

the instant this turns into more about the drama between the people competing, im done watching.

Like almost everyone else, I don't care for the format, but love the idea. It is amazing to see what people can built in so little time but I have to wonder how that compares to what members here on the site could do...

This show would be much cooler next time if some of the RPFers got a chance to compete on it.

It was obvious who was going home from the start. When the woman started asking for Sculpty you could tell she was out of her element. I don't know how they can pull off some of that stuff in the time alotted to them. Hopefully they keep the challenges interesting enough that it's worth sitting through the "reality TV" crap. I'm curious what they're going to do now that they're down to an odd number of contestants. a three person team? Someone stuck on their own?

Love the show, FX has always been a part of my life. Happy to see Conor on there too, he's a super cool dude and does great work.

I watched the first show a second time last night... and had to laugh a bit, because it really stood out how "goth-fest" the characters are on this show... and they definitely ARE characters. I can't help but wonder how much emphasis was placed on how each person looked vs their actual skill-set. Not to say they aren't talented, but almost everyone of them, including two of the judges look like they are trying out for "how emo can you go?" instead of a show driven by talent. I know a number of people who sculpt and work in the industry and not a single one of them look like these guys. Every one of them look normal. Again, is this about talent or about personalities? I guess time will tell.

I enjoyed it! At least it was something different and about being creative making monsters or whatnot. I'll keep watching it!

Ostrich was definitely a stinker, hahaa!

Hm, can I catch this anywhere? Re-broadcast, hulu, or anything of that sort? I'm curious now.

Yeah, you can check it out on Hulu.

I liked it a lot. My preference would be for less focus on the 'drama' and more on the technical aspects but I understand why these shows are formatted in such a way.

I was happy to see Connor win the first challenge as well - a really nice guy and a member over at the HMA.

Sounds like they stepped out of the effects program at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh lol. I couldn't get into it sadly and i usually love watching stuff about makeup effects and model making.

I kinda dug the Vader/Beetle. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

I thought the beetle was incredible given the time they had and thought it was a shame that it didn't win. I also thought the actress who played the beetle put more into her character than anyone else.
