Crap, you are right... Well, I've made peace with it. There will always be a gem hidden in a sea of mediocrity, and I think a lot of this stuff goes in a pendulum-like cycle. We are headed into a "dark ages" for TV sci-fi, and when something good pops up again, everyone will herald it's return.

Meanwhile, Fringe is pretty dang amazing, and it's on FOX for gods sake!!!

I finally watched the first season of Archer(Thank you Netflix Streaming) and I have not laughed like that in some time. Awesome show.

Back on topic, I remember watching the countdown just before Sci-Fi came on the air. It was exciting. Boy, have I been let down. Once Galatica and SG-1 were done, so was I with that station.

I am thinking of getting rid of cable and just watching Hulu Plus and Netflix from now on. Big Band theory made a joke this season about SyFy...that it doesn't even pronounce correctly as sci-fi

I actually thought Stargate was good UNTIL it went to SciFi. I stopped watching then, because the production seemed to fall off- it might have been me. But I never liked Atlantis. And I thought BSG was good at first, but way overhyped. And those were their best shows.

Is people saying 'no, it's gotten good, you should give it another chance' something that's actually safe to act on...or were you those guys saying the same thing about the later and even more unwatchable seasons of ST: Voyager? :lol

Fringe goes from X-Files rip-off to something epic by the first season finale.

Anyone remember a late night show on sci-fi channel back in the mid 90's that had this guy in a small room sitting at a desk , that always talked about aliens , the government , and weird stuff ? He was kinda loud , and wore glasses . I can't remember the name , but I remember staying up late with my older brother and watching it . He doesn't remember , so I want to find info on it to show him . Any help ?

I don't remember the title or the host's name, but I remember the show. They did stories on the paranormal and UFO sightings, I don't know how much of it was real or not but I liked it.

Sci Fi Buzz, Sci Fi Trader, Space: 1999, cool movies. *sigh* It was good while it lasted.

The ghost shows are the worst out of everything they show, I was fine with what the show Ghost Hunters did until the went to Pearl Harbor in search of "ghosts". Might as well have been mocking the people who died there by letting those so called Ghost Hunters tour the place. But other than that yeah the 1, 2 and 3 strikes for me was MST3K, BSG (Not Caprica that show sucked), and Farscape for the 3 strike outs for me not watching that channel anymore. I don't know why but lately I've been sticking more towards Auction Hunters, the Repo shows and that sort of thing now.
