Well I got my aluminum Photon sword done a few days ago. This is a fully functional prop lightsaber using a sound board called the Prizm. It lets me change colors of the blade if I want but purple will be the default. It looks and feels good, the only thing that i dont like is the D-ring. Sure it completes the look but when swinging it around all you hear is "clack, clack clack clack" as it flops side to side. other than that im loving this thing. Its all aluminum made and anodized black in the spots needed. I did have to change the location of the auxiliary button to make it easier to change colors and sound fonts, hence the 2nd button near what we know as the on and off.

bottom of this pic didnt turn out well but still shows the D-ring connect point and the speaker grill on the tail end.

Powered on with the blade plug/emiter dish in place. (a red and a green shot)

and a few of the blade colors. green one has a yellow flash. red has a purple flash and all sorts of other clashing colors when the blade is struck.

I also have light green. orange, yellow. light blue. and pink but didnt show them. All in all I spent about 200-250$ in the electronics parts alone. and about 20 hours of construction time (once i scrapped version 1 2 and 3 learning how to make it. each of them versions took about the same time frame)
