SW Republic Gunship - LAAT

Hi All,

So I've done a bit of a search, but no joy so far. Anyone know if there are any plans for a model of this vehicle (virtually any scale)?

Something about it just really captures my imagination, even enough to try and utilise my (very limited) model building skills. Maybe it's the Huey-esque (New word!) image of it going along with the doors open, and troops deploying.... anyway, I digress.

I have the LEGO one, and the Hasbro one for the figures doesn't really scratch the itch, so not sure what other options I have. I've seen the Code 3, but quite pricey to get it to me (Australia), and no option to customise it with my own nose art etc, as I would with a kit.

Anyone have any info on any plans for a kit that a hack like me could try (Scratch build def. not an option w/ my skillset!)

Revell Germany will release one around September I think. It will be a prepainted snap kit but their new trilogy kits were pretty good (unlike their old trilogy kits...). It could be around 1/72 and I think I read it´ll include clone troopers. There´s also the V-19, P-38 fighter and two CW Jedi Starfighters coming. So you just have to wait a few months.

Sounds like a plan. My gag reflex starts going when you say "Snap Kit", but I'll trust your judgement in relation to the quality! I'll need to brush up on my German and check for news!!

Not quite a model, but much less expensive than the Code 3 and around the same scale.
