I was wondering if I could get some info on a project I would like to start. Im planning on doing a republic commando suit and trying to find others that have been done and to see what parts are availalbe. any info at this point will be helpful!

Do a quick search for Republic Commando. There are a couple of threads out there.

Go to Clonetroopers.net and you can get started on your research. No one there openly sells armor but if you hang around long enough you'll find who you need to get in contact with for whatever you need.
