Surturs Crown Reference?

hi all

i'm working on surturs crown from Thor Ragnarok, i downloaded a nice (not sure how accurate though to be honest) file from thingiverse and blew it up 400%, chopped it up so it would go on my printer and then spent must be nearly 2 weeks printing out the parts but now i'm struggling to find a good picture of it for the paint job - most of what google brings up is pictures of toys or other peoples replicas - they all basically seem to show it is as a plain matt black but that cant be all surely??? frankly if it is then i'll probably embellish it myself but before i do has anyone got any reference photos of the actual prop?

and yes the chain isn't at all accurate but the one thor has.. well would be terrible for use as a chain and i have no idea how i would make a chain like that

oh and jsut for fun at halloween i'm going to install some orange lights to make his eyes glow

Grabbed a few quick caps – looks like a pitted, old iron kind of finish to me. I think daylight shot with Thor's head in it shows it best.

wow thanks - thats the best shots of it i've seen, and your right it does look kinda metallic also from that first shot looks like i should go for a red glow in the eyes instead of orange - i have some real iron paint - might give that a try and then rust it ever so slightly

and carnage the credit should really go to the guy who modelled it - from the pictures it looks like its pretty close - i just chopped it up and printed it out at an obscene size

i went overboard with the rust activator but kinda hard to get it right when nothing happens for 10 to 15 minutes and even then it evolves over time - that being said i do kinda like the effect
