While I appreciate the enthusiasm of Firefly fans, a second season isn't gonna happen anytime soon, if ever... Fillion's in a relatively sucessful show (Castle) that's probably got another few years in it, Baccarin's in "V" (although who knows what's going on with that) - and one thing the film showed is that a rabid fanbase doesn't equal a passionate wide audience...

Dont' get me wrong - I'd love to go back to the 'verse... but I don't see it ever happening...

Ditto. Let it go, guys. It was fun while it lasted, but it ain't comin' back. Prior commitments, lack of wide audience, etc.

I think there's a smaller base for this show than it may seem. I can't see it taking off to a second season. I'm sure the cast has bigger and better projects they'd rather be a part of, don't you think?

I thought Wash was the only one who died, it has been a while since I watched Serenity, who else died? But if would be possible for it to take place before Serenity.

Not really. There's some comics that cover that period, but unless it's a "prequel" show, there's a limited amount of time between Firefly and Serenity.

And any sequel show would undoubtedly involve yet more turmoil and death, because those are staples of Joss Whedon's writing. He breaks up couples, and kills people. It's how he creates drama. you see a romantic couple in a Whedon show, you can bet SOMETHING will break 'em up.

Yeah.,...it's not like Joss Whedon knows a lot of good actors and could write up new, compelling characters. Not like he could woo Eliza Dushku into a scifi series involving theft, spying and general bad behavior.

It would be great if they could bring it back. But, it will be missing 2 great characters for sure.
