Supernatural - Creating John Winchester's Journal

There are quite a few newspaper clippings seen, you could work on some of those. I don't have any specific episodes or screenshots for you unfortunately.
 
I will start from Season 1 and try to create the pages as we see them. Some are done already, but I will try to organize things a bit better in terms of the order in which we see the journal on the show. That seems like the best way to go forward. Then there are all the pages that were posted on the official website. Only some of those are seen in the show. Then there are the ones that are shown in the special features on the DVDs.

I'm doing a journal build, but I am having a horrible time finding those clear vinyl pages to hold wallet size photographs. All I can seem to find are business card ones, which are too small, or ones for full size binders rather than personal organizer sized. Anyone know where I can find one? A link would be fantastic, since clearly my google-fu skills are failing me.
 
Your journal is awesome! You've willed me to start my own, there is one thing I don't understand however, how do you know what is written on the pages with such a large quantity of small writing such as the wendigo pages?

Did you ever find the holders? I'm searching now as well.

Sorry, I didn't. I found some that were good for 2.5 x 3.5 photos hanging around my mom's house, but I couldn't find any online that weren't for a full size binder. Though that may have been b/c I wasn't using the right search terms for that sort of thing.

I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope everything turns out okay, and if it doesn't, that you have the support and love of people in your immediate vicinity to lean on.
 
Hey, does anyone have a font I can use to write these pages out? My handwriting is firstly awful and secondly too round to be John's, I tried making my own font but it didn't turn out very well as I found it very difficult to find decent screengrabs where I could see all of the letters well enough to base a font off it. (I could read them but it was too blurry). From what I could see his writing is very straight edged, not many curves. But I couldnt get a font out of it.
Anyone wanna help a bro out?

Do you have pages? There's a font called HanziPen SC which looks similar when you put the letters in all caps (which is how John writes). Hope that helps! :)

Omg that's perfect thank you. I don't have pages yet as I'm still doing research, getting stuff of the Supernatural wiki and off blogs and forums, finding screengrabs, etc

Been searching for the font, it's on Mac devices whereas I have a Windows PC, does anyone know where I can download it? I can't find a link anywhere

How are you all doing the journal cover? can it be bought already done? also what kind of journal pages are the blanks? sorry if its been answered before I been reading and so much info.
 
Due to an issue with some of my original artwork from my daughter's journal, she has asked me to remove photos of her journal from this and my other journal thread. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience.

I will try to add the photos back into this thread as time allows. I am putting back the reference photos and any photos that are not direct photos of my daughter's journal. I am also replacing the older photos with better resolution ones where possible.
