Superman return cape help

I know the cape is a perfect half circle, but which side is the top, the straight edge or the round edge? from all the photos it seems the straight edge is the bottom.

The straight edge I believe. Matt Munson may be able to chime in with some info as well.
The Returns cape always sat wrong with me because of the absence of the yellow insignia on the back. Without it, it's just a generic superhero cape.

Yes but I never got response from Matt and I need to finish the cape for the weekend.

Which side is the top of cape were neck opening will be? I marked it with two arrows in photo, I assume the straight edge but want to make sure.

Maybe this will help as you can see on this cape straight is up..

The straight edge actually becomes the front, along with the neck opening. The curved edge is the bottom.

the straight edge is where the neck line is cut. all of the Batman capes, and my own Returns cape are made that way. it's a Ricky cape, but if you want, I can take pics of it for you.

It's a perfect half circle, from center point just make radius to size you need. example 60" radius from center of circle will give you approx a 5 foot long cape, take into concideration that you will loose about 4" lenght when doing neck opening.
