Superman - Man of Steel's Parents

i did do a quick search but i could not find any other detail's on this, however forgive me if it's old new's.

i read with great interest that Julia Ormond (who i'm not familiar with)is in talks to star as Superman’s Kryptonian mother Lara Lor-Van, opposite Russell Crowe who was recently cast to play Jor -El, his father.

i didn't realise either that his adoptive Earth parents, will be played by Kevin Costner and Diane Lane.

is this true or just speculation still, the article i read say's it's confirmed. :wacko

I heard about Costner before. I find Crowe a cool choice because he does look like Marlon Brando a bit.

Truthfully though, it sounds like a brilliant choice; always seems to add a little bit of cred to a film when there's a big name in a minor but pivotal role.

I agree it has the feel of the original when you get Brando who has maybe a total of 15 minutes of lines.

Julia Ormond, eh? I read somewhere that consideration was being given to Connie Nielsen (who starred opposite him in Gladiator). I like Julia, but I think I'd be happier with the Russel/Connie pairing.
