Being stuck indoors for the last few days I needed something to do. Very easily I could have tackled one of the many WIP floating around my house. The problem was I just could not get off the couch. It was just one of those weekends. So while watching my classic movie marathon I started on the task of recreating the Iron Man Hope Poster. I have wanted one of these since I first saw it in Tony's workshop.
This was a cheep build using things from around the house.(Snowed in) My first step was to search the interwebs for the best images of the poster that I could find. For sure everything I found was to small to create a quality print or another artists rendition that just wasn't movie accurate. Time to move on. I continued to search the web for images and did a few screen captures of my own. Once I had enough usable images I rescaled the best one and started to retrace it in Photoshop. I then spent the better part of two days recreating the poster in a hi res 300dpi 24"x36" format.
Once I was happy with the image I did a test print on 8.5"x11" photo paper. I found an old frame, removed the ex-girlfriends picture and gave it a quick coat of black. I am very pleased with the results and have it hanging in my office. Now I just need to get a full sized print.
I have no idea who created the original image so this if for my personal collection. Something I just wanted.
