super hero shirts (under armor IM3, MOS, TASM, STID and more)

Hi,
I made INT thread about the same topic, but I want to move it to this forum.

I am trying to make a daily use T-shirt that has superhero theme. Unfortunately, some will take a compressed (tight-fit) cut, for nicer look.
So I am gonna make regular and compressed cut.
My aim is to make daily use shirt.

First is IM3 shirt:

with added glowing arc

This is my MOS:

I made two alternatives:

Type1: bright red and yellow with dark blue. Cape also had chain mail pattern.
Type2: soften the yellow, darken the red. Blue now with lighter highlight of the chain mail. The cape is plain darker red (I can't help to explore this option). This is more movie-like.

My TASM is WIP

This one still need a lot of work.

My latest design is Mk6 underarmor from the Avengers

hmmmmmm, very nice. how much? i really like the im3 shirt. u can get one with out the light right? i already have a ark light that goes on shirts so i just need the shirt

Re: super hero shirts (IM3, MOS, TASM and more to come)

@IMIM2MOS design is cool, but the cape area is unnecessary, i think. as for TASM & IM3, It's Just Awesometastic !! btw, what do you think of New 52 Supes, Arkham City Robin & TASM2 ?? that would be cool to see'em.

Re: super hero shirts (IM3, MOS, TASM and more to come)

Thank you for the comments.

The arc can be removed during printing. I found out that it is very hard to align the LED with the printing all the time. In the picture, I had to hold down the shirt everytime. So if you want to have glow arc, better not have the printed arc on the tee.

Edna followers: "no cape!" :D
I just love the red on the shoulder, so I made it with cape (another way of saying I'm too lazy to make the back detail)

Sorry, I missed to reply this earlier. New supes got a bit shiny plastic feel, I don't think I can do that. Lycra might be, but wearing shiny shirt, hm.....
Batman first, then Robin. I am still unsure how to do Batman or Robin.
I can do aquaman, though
TASM2: I need to wait several ref pics to be able to do it more properly.

The first batch of prints has arrived.
IM3 all looks good.
There is an issue with MOS type2, it is maximum bright red! :facepalm

I have wrong MOS, Mk6 and Capt. America ready by tomorrow (crossing fingers).
Others will be done in more professional workshop, hopefully by next week.
Will update the pics soon.

Here is my CA and Mk6 under armor shirt.

CA:
1. The chest blue area (and the star) need to move 2-3in higher, and so does the blue sleeve.
2. The sleeve is a bit tight, I will make it more "relaxed fit"

Mk6:
1. The pattern is okay. The grey need to be darker
2. Maybe smaller arc?
3. I created a compartment for LED to be placed under the shirt. I'll post another picture when I find my batteries :facepalm

Re: super hero shirts (under armor IM3, MOS, TASM and more to come)

Yeah, you have to Junkyard these. IMIM, they look great, but this is not the place for them.

Re: super hero shirts (under armor IM3, MOS, TASM and more to come)

laellee,
Thank you for reminding.
I tried to keep this as WIP thread, not for selling.
In here, I would like to show my progress of my t-shirts making, get some feedback on the designs, and sharing ideas.

I already got my own FS threads in JY.
If I remove the JY link, will that make you feel better?

If you feel this is still inappropriate, please report it.
I will very much follow the forum rules.

Re: super hero shirts (under armor IM3, MOS, TASM and more to come)

IMIM2, We are good. I didn't mean to sound like I was policing you, it just sounded much so like you were marketing. Anyways, the standards and guidelines are pretty cut and dry, better to be within those now than wait and get things pulled? Anyways, good luck with things.

Re: super hero shirts (under armor IM3, MOS, TASM and more to come)

I removed the links.
Not everything here is for sale, so it was not meant for marketing at all.
I'll keep in mind on how to deliver my progress then.
:cheers

Re: super hero shirts (under armor IM3, MOS, TASM and more to come)

When I look at TRON Legacy suit closely, I notice a very nice hex pattern that I suddenly like it. Here is just some draft on the pattern and the glowing line(s).
The left lines is with blue outline, the right one have less blue.
I don't know how to create the latex look for the rest of the suit, and the 3D effect.
Same in Robin. I always like the R symbol.

Re: super hero shirts (under armor IM3, MOS, TASM and more to come)

I manage to sneak in the Flash shirt.
Here is temporary sewing (mind the white flaps).

This is using (another) new sewing pattern. It is bigger on the sleeve and armpit.
I think I will stick to this one.

Despite the need of some minor adjustment, I think I really like this one.
I also manage to get some red collar, so I am gonna use it on this one.

Comments?

My new design for IM3 shirt is finally got printed and sewn up !
I made a new diamond and grey pattern.
There is a big diamond pattern at the back.
I need to tweak the shoulder curve a bit.

It has underlayer so we can stick the arc.
I also made a battery pocket. It'll hold 9V battery or 2AA battery pack nicely.

Comments?
Still thinking about doing this in lycra.

Re: super hero shirts (under armor IM3, MOS, TASM and more to come)

That iron man shirt looks amazing! If you'd like I could design and print an arc reactor for that shirt. It would be great If there was a poker for an arc to just sit in next to the battery pocket.

Re: super hero shirts (under armor IM3, MOS, TASM and more to come)

I could design this one to be really thin to fit it.
