Well nvm about that expectations idea. Read through this entire thread, and OMFG they dun ****ed this thing up beyond all recognition. Just some thoughts after all the news, and images that have been released.
1. The joker should never drive an expensive super/ sports car. I think his ideal car would be UNDERSTATED! Like a rape van, or a semi truck. Something that can carry a lot of people, and do a huge amount of damage. The dark knight trilogy already handled this perfectly with the school bus, the van, and the semi.
2. WTF is this. Not only do they recreate dead shot as a black guy but they made him into shaft!
3. Margot Robbie is the dream casting for Harley. Absolutely perfect in every way, but the way the production team has butchered her appearance is just appalling. The rotten tatted on her cheek, and all the overt messages in her styling like the "daddys lil monster" shirt. All they had to do is put white makeup on Margot, and get her in a schoolgirl outfit. Is that really so difficult!
4. They completely ruined the joker. I think Jared Leto is already too skinny to be the joker. (He looks like a meth addict, and that's without all the joker makeup and tattoos.) He doesn't fit the role physically especially with batman being so roided up it clashes too much. This joker looks like what would happen if you handed over costume design to Justin Beiber.
5. The only character that even looks passable besides Harley, is dead shot in his costume (not the shaft version).
6. David Ayer is a bad director. He is a good writer, but he is an abysmal director. The only good movie he has made is End Of Watch, but that was mostly due to Jake Gyllenhaal's amazing performance. The directing in that movie was the worst thing about it, and as I mentioned above. SABOTAGE. That movie has a very similar plot to a "suicide squad" and it was one of the worst movies of the last 10 years. This thing was doomed from the start. DC has no idea about who to hire for these projects anymore. Nolan was perfect, and has never made a bad film, but after they hired Zack it's been an uphill battle.
7. I will be passing on this one. I don't care if this movie receives higher praise than TDK I won't be watching it until it's in the bargain bin.
