Suicide Squad

When was it officially confirmed that batman would be in this I now am really excited for this more the BvS

About 2 weeks ago when Ben was filmed on set in a suit as Bruce Wayne. Im pretty sure though he only has a cameo or a very minor role, just like the joker

I think this was taken on the suicide squad set, so he might have more than a bruce wayne cameo. Kinda obvious since they're filming a car chase with the batmobile though :lol

I hate, hate, HATE that Jokermobile.
It's the complete antithesis of everything the character represents.
It's even got the stupid ricer poser undercarriage neon lights.
I don't see any redeeming quality about this concept.

As a rule of thumb an ideal Jokermobile (or anything joker-related) should be something that's both completely absurd (even impractical) and absolutely terrifying at the same time.
A blinged out street car is none of those things.

I'm not even a DC fanboy and I can appreciate this.

As much as I love Heath Ledgers Joker, a part of me will always prefer the more dapper version of the character. I've never seen or heard of Anthony Misano before this thread, but that photo of him is spot on for my opinion.

I would pair a joker like that with something classic, with some hidden suprises, like a pierce arrow with James bond features. Like push button oil slick, etc.

in the Jokers colors.

I have to agree it look ridiculous im hoping this os all for an opening scene before the joke becomes the joke we know maybe he started in a gang or something I was looking forward to letto as joker and I think his portrayal will be fantastic buy whoever thought jokee would look good as a gangster is an idiot.

If the joker / Harley is driving that...they have better have shot a Tokyo drift kid in the face and stole it on the fly. Batman is chasing them cause his chinese dilvery guy just got taken out. No General Chow chicken makes the bats go crazy.

I can appreciate what you're saying just as much as feel that the Batmobile should not be a war machine... while it needs details to make it "Bat-esque" it should be sleeker and more able to blend in or fade into the darkness.

Soooooooo....the Joker spends his afternoons cleaning and Armor All-ing his car, and installing LEDS like a high school kid with a Dodge Neon..........

The neon under the car, its a bit Schumachery isn't it?

Every garish glimpse of this movie has been VERY reminiscent of Batman Forever/ Batman & Robin! The new Batmobile actually seems most related to those cars as well, with just a dash of tumbler thrown in...

I liked the look of Batman and Robin WAY better. That movie was actually pretty cool looking, it's just a shame that the story and dialogue was so horrible.

and yes, I know the nipples bothered people, but really that isn't any more silly that sculpting muscles WITH veins into your suit of "armor". At least there it was somewhat uniform. AN extension of the Burton films: if you're going to be stylized be stylized. If you're real then be real (X-men, Avengers: even the ones who wear costumes have a legit reason for it). This just looks lost somewhere in the middle, which is why it has such a 'cosplay night at the frat house' feel to it.

A good story could still redeem it, but it just seems so doubtful right now. An uphill battle from people who are not known for their climbing skills.

I think that before everybody starts getting their knickers all up in a bunch over these pictures of the "Jokermobile" they should take a step back, take a deep breath, and calm down. We're seeing only a couple of pictures, with no context, and jumping to conclusions over them. We don't know for certain that this is actually Joker's car and not just something he stole or borrowed. We know next to nothing about this iteration of the Joker and what he's like, for all we know this car might be very fitting for this particular version of the Joker, or maybe it fits with the overall tone and feel of the movie.

Now, I'm not trying to defend this film, I'm just saying that we shouldn't pre-judge it based solely on few pics shown out of context. This film may turn out to be utter crap, or it might be DC's Avengers of GotG, either way it's too early to tell and to get all worked up over.

Maybe the reason they went with an exotic looking sports car was for the flat roof, so batman could jump on it like this :

Just kidding, could have worked with any cars, but that's awesome none the less. Especially if he jumped from the batmobile to Joker's car.

Am i the only one that thinks BVS and suicide squad are making the dark knight trilogy look complete ****?
I mean was there any source material at all in that trilogy apart from a little frank millers year one and the long Halloween?.

Year One, the Long Halloween, some Dark Knight Returns in the last movie, the Man Who Laughs, quite a bit of Knightfall even in Batman Begins (Scarecrow's plot and the fight that ends with a crashing train)...

I mean, I guess it depends on if you prefer a mashup of that stuff to a mashup of TDKR and the New 52.

I mean, it's also dumb to say two movies that aren't finished completely trounce three that are.

Batman Begins was mostly Year One, and some Long Halloween, along with some other Ra's and Scarecrow stories.

The Dark Knight was the first appearance comic and Long Halloween.

The Dark Knight Rises was... I dunno, the "some days you just can't get rid of a bomb" scene in Batman the Movie?

I also not sure what you mean by "making the Dark Knight trilogy look complete..." because, well, when you edit adults, it can be hard to follow.
