'Stuttgart' Loki (Oz Comic Con)

Hi, folks!
I only had just over two weeks to put this together in time for OCC in Melbourne last month, but here is my 'Pimp suit' Loki in action.
Bear in mind, I know the overcoat is inaccurate (collar, cut, material, pockets, etc) and am currently having a much more SA suit tailored and ready soon.

Also, the scarf isn't quite there yet, as there wasn't much reference at the time. The cane I would also like to remake at some point, because: A) it should be less bulky, and B) Stan Lee has signed this one. :p

Anyway, here are some pics of my extremely rushed Loki.

Thanks for looking. I'm currently revamping this, so feedback welcome. :)

That I did, sir.
I poured 2 part polyurethane foam into an MDF housing that I made and let it harden and rise.
Once I had a large foam block to work with, I carved out the shape of the cane and reinforced it with two threaded rods for support.
I then fiberglassed the whole thing and sanded it, filling any gaps, etc.
Some automotive paint and dry-brush weathering later and the cane was done.

For the Tesseract gem, I happened upon a plastic, blue mineral water bottle that was a very close shape. Lucky!
I then cut the neck, heat-gunned it to shape a little, filled it with bubble wrap (for better light dispersal) and fitted an LED into the top and bottom of it, with a discrete battery back hidden behind in the head of the cane.
The 'gem' pulls forward so I can switch it on and nest it back in the cane. :)

As I said, I plan on doing a much more accurate cane in the future as my skill level improves.
Aside from assembling a pair of Han Solo DL-44s, this is one of my first prop builds. :)

Wow that's awesome, especially taking into consideration the short amount of time you had to put it all together. Well done mate! And it's good to meet another Aussie on here as well :).

That's brilliant, currently making a Loki Scepter for Adelaide local Lady Loki, and I was trying to work out the gem stone. Might have to see how small I can shrink a similar drink bottle. Hot water and heat gun quickly bring those things down to size :lol

Hi !
I'm currently trying to make this cosplay, and i'd like some tips, especially on how you made the scarf. Did you paint the pattern on it or did you find it "all ready" ?
