No refund, unless you get another buyer, sorry but that seems a bit odd as you haven't received anything yet. You should be refunded if you no longer want to wait. We all have troubles from time to time but that doesn't mean you have to spend other people's money? If its to cover costs then why has there been no product for you, or have you covered other people's costs. I love Gk's & I totally appreciate all that comes with the process of producing them, sadly though I really think things have gone bad in many ways. F&M models has been the only hassle free buy for me & I wish they produced more kits. Steve really should refund you even if it was sold as nonrefundable.
I want to make it perfectly clear that Steve did not refuse to refund. He simply explained the circumstances and said that he'd have the next person to buy one just pay me. I'm fine with that and thought I would facilitate it by making a post here after waiting a couple weeks.
I in no way meant this post as a poor reflection on Steve. He's always been responsive to my emails or PMs and I think no one has anything to worried about. My circumstance is that I just don't really want to wait any longer and with the efx kit coming out, I'd just as soon work out getting my money back. Steve proposed a solution and my previous post was an extension of that, nothing more.
I'm not pissed at anyone and I don't have an axe to grind. I'm new here and don't want to do things the wrong way, but I do feel like things were misrepresented a little. From post #1007:
The NEW TIE kit release of 25 kits will be 1 June 09. This includes standard and hero versions. 25 total. Kits will be boxed in hand ready for immediate shipping prior to the date.. Please email Jamie if you want on the list. Orders will be shipped as payment is made. For info email me or Jamie. Once the 25 are gone I will be working on other studio scale subjects. The Hero TIE/Standard kit will be rerealed at a later date.
I paid June 1 so that I would not miss out. Even when it took awhile, I was ok with the wait because the kit looks fantastic. Then efx announced theirs and I hear how this kit is some kind of cousin to what we should expect from efx...it kind of killed any desire for me to wait any longer, pay someone $500-1000 to build and paint it etc etc. I asked Steve if we could work something out, he understood and offered to have the next buyer pay me since he really didn't have funds himself. All completely understandable, IMO.
Sorry if I stepped on toes or made Steve look bad. I would never do that intentionally and I think his kit will still be the definitive TIE for years to come. For those used to garage kits and building, I've no doubt that it'll be worth the wait.
