Temponaut, thanks for the kinds words. Joewhite, there really aren't any rock stars. Mostly, we're just a bunch of guys who grew up watching the Muppets on Saturday nights at 7pm and loved SW. This stuff is mostly about knowing timelines, when model kits were produced, and a good memory. Sprucial profiling, if you will. :lol You just keep looking through kits until you find what you're looking for. Luck, help, and more luck are the key ingredients. I do okay, but there are better out there.
Here's another look into S1. I found these parts, enlarged in the offset boxes, using this picture. Oh, and don't get me wrong. I'm not the only one working on this. There are 2 or 3 other patient guys turning up finds right along beside. I'm only showing mine, because, well, they're mine to show.
Before you go cross-eyed trying to read the instructions, this is the 1/35 Tamiya 88mm.

And, lest I be remiss, there have been a number of 'guest stars' who have assisted with a find, here or there, along the journey. If they want to shout out, and post, that would be great. But, some folks are shy that way.

Well let me firstly say this Slave build is simply awesome. Can't wait to see some more progress pics. Secondly, that ID of the "A" sprue label is pure genius, nice work. Lastly, I wish I had known that part on page 43 was on the Slave as well, I had been looking for that part for about a year myself. It's always satisfying finding a part you've been looking at for ages.

Its just a case of a few hoopty stragglers now JP, but slowly she's getting there ID wise, theres so much we have found on this bird, she's quite an eye opener for a ship that is seen on screen for such limited time.
Something were finding with the ESB ATST too, sooo much work went into this, and it plays such a sad small part in the movie....pity!

Although I am no longer in the group building the Slave I, I figure I'll follow Lee's example, not be shy, and share my findings. Like Allan, these are my finds and my buildups so why not. I'll only post what I found so I don't hurt anyones feelings.
1/12 312B engine under airfoil
1/72 Leopold railings on either end with protective nubs still attached.
I believe this was covered in another thread so I don't mind repeating it. 1/24 Harrier, 1/35 duster, 1/35 flak 38, and 1/20 JPS.
Majority of these parts can be found on the 1/72 Morser and Leopold along with the kit Lee mentioned. Additional kits are the 1/35 flak 38, 1/24 Harrier, and stock styrene.
I know I hated it when posts made me feel inferior and that I was missing out on the inside scoop. Truth be told, you could have a complete kit list and you would still be better off with Rich's kit. It would be cheaper and less of a headache. Trust me from the little bit of building I've done to help...

Fantastic work you guys.I'm looking forward to hopefully buying one when/if it is made available.Time does incredible work too,I've always been an admirer of his work.It is a pitty the the Slave I had such little screen time,but that also maykes it the most interesting.It is still amongst my favorites in the Star Wars universe.
LOL - I should have sent them with your armature!! Sorry, it didn't even occur to me. I'll get them in the mail to you in the next few days - they haven't been touched
