I'm not into B: SG (TOS) but the model looks awesome, the overall build and paintjob is top notch.
How big is it?

Wow! I didn't realize the Rising Star had all those awesome colors all over it's hull. Now that's one sexy ship.

That was Mark Dickson's casting that John Billings persuaded him to give over for restoration, because he just had to have it for his collection. It's approx 1.250" too short. Roger Sides did 2 "toaster castings" and the combo bond and fiberglass layup was pretty bad. Surprising it could be fixed at all because it had other major issues.
If anyone could do it Ed could but I would hate to be Ed on that project. Looks really nice now.
Mark has loads of pictures on that thing. And rubbings, and countours and everything needed to make an accurate new master :)
Rapid prototyping a new master will ensure symmetry.

WOW! I've been looking for good source material on that particular miniature for years. Well, now I know what my next project will be once I'm done with my Nova-class orthos! Thanks much for posting those! :thumbsup

Wow that sure is a nice looking ship ! I have always liked the look as well; something different. Reminds me a bit of a duck-billed platypus. You'll have to post a picture of the "before" so we can appreciate the "after" that much more.

Oh man, that mess sat around my model shop for years. I had deemed it unrepairable. I cant begin to imagine what Ed had to go through to get it to look presentable. I'd say you certainly got your moneys worth. It looks great now.

I was gonna repair it for free. Ed got a bunch of dough for it. My sig should read "Money buys the impossible"

Heh - reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw a while back - "Nothing's impossible? Try slamming a revolving door."

Laughed my ass off with that one. :D
