You guys, all of you kit makers and builders, should be ashamed of yourselves. It's obvious you have some real talent, and yet all you do with it is glue, paint, and let the rest of us marvel. I'm so sick and tired of reading about kit/build up progress threads whose models look like they are being assembled and finished at ILM. You're all pitiful excuses for fans and make the rest of us posers feel inadequate...even those of us who aren't into SS yet.
Seriously though, every thread I look at and read through, I am constantly amazed and inspired by your level of artistry and accuracy. I'm not a SS builder or collector; I'm a SW fan and prop collector, and yet this forum is one of my absolute favorites, just so I can see what you all have been up to as it usually is jaw dropping.
So, no, this is not really a rant (other than I wish I had a quarter of the talent as some on here). This is really a big THANK YOU to all of the artisans here....it is always a joy to view your work and I appreciate the fact that you share it. I figured it would be better off to say it in a thread rather than add the same "Wow..incredible!" post to every one of yours.
From Vos' Shuttle, to Salzo's X-wing, to REL's Slave 1, to Moffeaton's metal AT-ST armature, etc.....I salute you Mr. Studio Scale modeler (key Bud Light music)! Really, thanks to all of you for sharing your amazing talent and allowing us to witness it all. Keep up the incredible work!!!
