"studio scale desanto viper"

Kurt,
Thanks. I have emailed Mike...but have not gotten a response. The last email I got from him was on March 9th in which he stated my viper (not a pre order) would be shipping the end of the following week. Its good to hear things are progressing with this. Can't wait :)

For some reason I am not able to view the Forums at Colonial Fleets. I used too...then I registered and now I cant. Go figure :) Hoping they clear that up soon.

Thanks for the update. I hope he responds to my emails at least :)

Steve

Any word on this kit yet?  Have not heard back from Bluesquad on this.

This is what Michael stated on the Colonial Fleets Board on last Tuesday, March 28...

:) :) :) The mailing will begin for sure Monday of next week. The reason it's still delayed is because we are in the learning and growing process, which I'm sure Spcglider will let all of you know that being my first kit, it was a huge and often held up learning process and undertaking. But since that mountain has been scaled, all is moving faster and more efficient.
The following is a list of all in order to recieve their Vipers. They are getting set to fly. This is for pre-orders only. All others will be sent following.
1.Cristopher (Aussie Viper)
2.Robert Burns
3.Peter Noble.
4. Christopher (Dobber.)
5.Starship Modeler
6.Barry Lewis
7.Gordon (Spcglider)
8.Tony Augustin
All others on pre-order has also purchased build-up services with lights and full weathering.
1. Dilbertman (2)
2. Kurt...(You know who you are.)
3. And Tom DeSanto.
:) :) :)

Since Michael is new to this kind of artistry work, he is wanting it to be correct before shipping and thus the delays. Tomorrow is the Monday he referred to as the shipping day for the pre-orders. I will post again when I know for cetainthat he has begun shipping.
BTW... he will be attending this years Wonderfest with these kits and some impressive others... as well as a very large project I had comissioned him to do. The update photos he has sent me look great and it will be unmistakable when everyone veiws it. :thumbsup :D :thumbsup

Cheers Steve.

I just sent Michael an Email asking him to read this board regarding your request for him to contact you.

Michael has chosen a path to swim with the big boys on his projects and he has become very ambitious with them. I believe he will come through with flying colors.

Time allowing, I will keep an eye on this thread and post with updates I am aware of if he is unable to do so in a timely manner.

His projects are looking real good.

Feel free to email me Steve if you have questions. :D

Hi Steve, I have'nt gotten your e-mail. Had a real bads storm here last night and it screwed with the lines. Give me a call if you have any concerns about whatever. We ARE WAITING on the shipping boxes to arrive. But all is well in the Viper situation. I'm sure that I've given my phone number to all that have ordered. I just dragged out of bed, so I'm going ta eat now and then hit the models again. :p

ABSOLUTELY....
We are awaiting the shipping boxes arrival. Here is the list and we are sticking to the mailing in this order. Please note, no further questions are really necessary as I will definately inform all forums that shipping has begun. We are here just waiting as you are. Please understand that there is nothing that we can do until the boxes arrive. If they have not arrived by Thurs at the latest, we will take other measures to ship them anyway, I feel the you all have waited long enough. :confused
The next kit in the line is the Raider. It is huge.... :eek And will be (REAL) studio scale and correct size to both TOS and Desanto Vipers. It will be FAST as we now know what to do. And Rob @ Sci-Fi Models is roto-casting them for us. The will be easy to light.

The DeSanto designed Cylon RAIDER is also something Michael is doing great work on. THIS THING IS GOING TO BE HUGE... Not 1/35, but a 1/24 scale RAIDER...

This is another project I have pre-ordered from Michael.

Has anyone received their Viper yet?

Quote from anouther forum

They would have shipped days ago. But the damn boxes have'nt arrived yet. Although, I'll use that time to do as promised and check for bubble holes in the castings, and attempt to personally fill each one. Just to make an effort to give good castings. Any imperfections will be addressed here first.
I'll post again only when they ship. All on the list will be notified imediately when the boxes arrive.
Take care everyone.

Hope that helps out, it's just the waiting game now.
later, Barry.

That is a no.

But here's the gig: Michael has cut himself off from posting and filandering on the internet until he gets the kits done and shipped.

I'm personally waiting on one myself, but I have his personal phone number and know how to contact him, so I'm not worried. You shouldn't be either if you ordered one.

He himself has admitted to having no concept of time, and trust me, over at the Galactica forum we're keeping on his arse so he knows we're waiting for our kits. The pressure has not abated one bit.

Its a tough thing keeping artists from succumbing to "next prettiest girl" syndrome... maintain focus on what's at-hand. We over at the TOS Galactica forum are needling him whenever he strays.

I ordered one but I don't know him that well. I'm not judging his talent or abilities in any way but just like many others here I've been part of the "...it's in the mail" scenario. One month, two months, a year later...nothing and of course no email responses at all. I'm not saying for a second that is the case here and both Michael and Terri have been awesome to deal with it's just difficult sometimes to understand what individuals sometimes go through under stress.

I'm really looking forward to this as it seems all of you are also. Ok, back to idle mode.

Thanks for the update. :thumbsup

Michael is definitely an artist in every way. The commissioning of true artist talent (which I have come to believe he is in his showing to me of his work) often requires long and great patience. We have all been witness to that fact much, both in the reading and experiences within this forum alone. :p That is just the way it is. :eek

Michael has also been spending much time on a VERY LARGE project I was to commission him to do soon and he went ahead and started it anyway in order for he and Terri to it display at Wonderfest as a crowd draw to their area. :confused Very amitious indeed. I have personally been in touch with both Michael and Terri and requested that my large project be placed on hold so that both the DeSanto designed Viper and Raider paid pre-orders may be fulfilled. I have hopes they will be done soon.

I am very excited at the prospect of recieving both of mine as well. :D After they have been fulfilled, then I will consider green-lighting my VERY LARGE PROJECT commission for Michael to work on if he doesn't already have it completed by then..lol. The future of that is very exciting to me since it was a boyhood dream of mine and I am thinking probably for all of you as well. :thumbsup :D :thumbsup Time will tell.

Good news for these projects...

Michael called me today and told me that he and Terri had just built a new shop in their back yard. He informed me that production will be much better in this new area and was very excited to get everything moved in.

Congratulations on your new shop Michael and Terri.

New update from what Michael informed me...

Mr. Miles called me last night and pretty much sounded exhausted and delerious from long hours. Michael said something about referring to everyone as SCHMECKY...lol. Artists....what can I say...lol. :confused

Michael informed me yesterday that the Raider has been placed on hold until Tom DeSanto gives final approval on it and he also stated that he recieved new specs on the Viper that revealed more detail (of explosive bolts) on it's canopy. He was re-vamping that as we spoke last night since he stated he is still waiting for the specific boxes to arrive for their shipment. I got the impression that these were DeSanto ordered boxes, but don't place any weight in that until it comes from Michael or DeSanto. He stated something about them being ordered from Canada. Hmmmmm. Michael did inform me the kits were ready to go outside of that and will include a full set of drawn instructions and box art. I think Michael said drawn instructions...hmmmm. Time will tell. :unsure

Be Well All. :p

My spelling has been horrendous in my last few posts,...I am attempting editing of it today...lol. :D

Okay...this is the way it is. I'm PISSED about the box situation, and am going to do this. If the boxes are not her by Fri.....I'll go around and visit some stores and gather all of the right size boxes that I can find. There will by my own hand be a mailout on Mon. That is DEFINATE. So by Wed. some should be seeing there kit hanging out in their mail boxes.
That is the way it is.
I'm mailing these out. Come Hell or Highwater.

That is GREAT news Michael.

I am sure there will be smiling faces next week. :D It certainly has made my day a bit better. :p I think I am going through Hell Month or something so good news is always appreciated..lol. :confused

Great news indeed...and thanks for your continued efforts.

Thanks for letting us know what is going on Michael, I understood you not wanting to be distracted by all the different forums, and pestering questions and such, but I was wondering what was going on too. Just didn't want to bother you.

Good news indeed. Looking forward to next week..

Chris
