If these sell well the option to re do the Galactica has become an option :)
So buy these while they are out. They are planned to be retired for good :cry

Would you do the Galactica re do :confused? Off to place pre-order for at least one maybe more of Raider, Viper and Basestar :love .

I would love to do the Galactica re do. If they ask I will jump :D

Ringa, I think the fighters will be mid to late summer.
The Base Star will follow in the fall.
I will ask again about the release dats and correct as needed.

Mark:

Thanks for the info on the origin of the Monogram kit. I still don't understand how they could turn out three relatively accurate kits and then come up with such a stinker for the focal point for the series. I guess that would have been a rather difficult question to phrase with Revell-Monogram's model group; although I'm sure that they know how everyone feels about it.

Here is the release dates:

Sept. ‘07: Viper
Oct. ‘07: Raider
Nov. ‘07: Basestar

These dates come from Revell / Monogram

Tanks man.

Purple and Orange squadrons? Arn't they the ones coming back from a furlon and itching for a fight?

Don, I will send you picts of the one I built and you can make the CG model of it for the CG panel in the back :D

THAT is a great question. I have been working with Revell / Monogram making some changes to the Base Star kit to include added detail parts and it will have a detailed painting guide to boot.

Sadly, there budget did not allow major re tooling of the panels and trenches but they did take the time to add some great new detail parts as well as the talked about but never seen mega pulsar which is on the back side of the Base Star only :eek

While working with them they confirmed they did not have the Base Star scanned nor the Galactica. The plan now is to re release, for the last time I'm told, the Raider and Viper re tooled and then the Base Star. If these sell well the option to re do the Galactica has become an option :)
So buy these while they are out. They are planned to be retired for good :cry

Would you have a image of said "MEGA PULSAR"?

If so, can you post that to hold us over till you can post your Basestar. PLEASE.

Jim :angel :( ;) :D

Bought time. Been waiting forever.

Not really but it sounded good. ;)

Was looking at the pictures the other day Mark. What's the yellow Concorde from again?

:)

Okay, here are two picts of my photo survey of the Base Star.

One is of the AFT Mega Pulsar and the other is me with the Base Star.

The Base Star was pretty beat up :cry Missing parts, broker seams and panels and someone replced the missing bridges with plaster castings :eek

Ed Mirieki restored it and from what I here it looks as good as can be with what he had to work with.

Hi Jim,
I have no problem sharing some picts. I like to share. I just want to protect the replica and the up coming kits as much as possible. These two pictures show very little kit part info :p

Mark

Wow. Thanks for posting the pics.

Tordoc, its 36" OD then you add the 2" for the launch platforms that extend out beyond the trench's at 5 points. It's around 22" tall. I have to look at my dims on it.

Dilbert, all I know is it's one of the Base Star's defense guns. I'm sure they meant to show off the Base Star more then they did based on the beautiful paint job and all the little details. They just didn't have the budget I guess.

Here is one more pict but this is it till the kit comes out and Don gets the web site done for the making of a Base Star :)
