It's 100 degrees. Cloudy. No Sun yet 100 degrees. Humidity 100 %. I couldn't have worse weather for any kind of model making.

This is depressing!

Steve

I hear you! Those kinds of days it's hard to shoot primer much less do anything out in the man-cave.

Yeah, dealt with that myself.... You can't mix resin, you can't use polyester, you can't even paint primer on days like that. You just look at your parts and pout. LOL! I got to where I had my days a nights all mixed up, because I would try to work after midnight until the Sun came out and started making everything impossible.

It's showing 86 by Wed. Got my fingers crossed. I'll keep the chemicals cool and working laying up in the early morning. That should get me by. Darn this is hard to wait through.

Well, good luck. Here's hoping the for the best for you. I know how frustrating it can be to have project brought to a dead halt.

Good news! It's nearly 1:30pm and it's only 87 degrees. A long way away from yesterdays 104.

My garage is still 98 but this is ambient temperature and thermal radiation as a result of heat build up in the structure and foundation. It will irradiate for another 24 hours before it drops off. With temperatures in the low 60s even 50s in the next day or so at night I'll lose that ambient and get back to normal. I'm hoping to start layups Wed and it should go pretty fast. It's a lot of parts but it's pouring them up not making them,. ;)

Looking foward to it Steve at least you got a little break after doing all those molds, hows the CGI work coming?

Ray I played hooky this weekend and restored my old Jupiter 2 back to health again. She was built in the 90s and was in pretty bad shape. All shiny new now. Back at CGI as we speak.

Steve

Cool that you redid your Jupiter 2 Steve. I have a set of the TSDS decals for redoing my old PL Jupiter 2 myself. It could definitely use a makeover. Maybe add some lights too although most of the light sets out there for the rotating core effect are a little pricey for me.

To the new guys checking in on this thread for the first time trust me this isn't a big talk thread. Go back and watch the videos and look at the months of pictures. Weather has been holding up my progress.

It's 69 degrees at 10 pm here in LA. Last night it was in the high 80s still. So I'm very hopeful I'll be back at laying up the two hull kits Wednesday morning. I'm excited to start seeing the fruits of my labor as they would say.

Here's that Jupiter 2 Chris. A work in progress as time goes by I'll do more to this old model that looks new again. It was sitting in my garage covered in dust and spiders. If you look in the BKG of my videos you can see it there. Poor old girl. She deserved better.

Man, you build kick ass stuff in between building other kick ass stuff :lol:lol:lol. I am struggling to just get one project done:lol. Amazing work as usual.

Too shinny. That's the model masters chrome no buff. I was surprised really. Thanks guys for the kind comments. It's pretty cool today. Cooler still. 9:38 am and 68. Here's hoping for tomorrow.

Steve

You need to move north to the Bay Area Steve. Been one of the coolest summers ever this year; even cooler than last year.
We have an empty house next door to us as a matter of fact!
