Simply Amazing. There are no other words to describe the work you have done here. I am looking forward to the next update!

The only dumb quesion is the one that you never ask. ;) Learn? I saw that shuttle craft you did and I'm thinking...just thinking, it might be neat to make a 2-3 footer of it next.

Steve

And the wallet injury continues (I gotta have one of those). :lol:lol:lol

YES, LEARN!!! Since the beginning of this thread I have tried and been successful in using many of the techniques you have demonstrated; things I would have never attempted. In fact, I picked up some silicone and I ordered some Ultra Cal 30 just yesterday, lol. Using the foam and west system epoxy may have been a life changing experience for me as well Thanks for sharing. This is the most informative and exciting thread on the RPF since I've been around here (and it's of my favorite ship as well; what a bonus!). There are many great builds but none go into the actual techniques used to make these great pieces.

Well I think you are just the man to do a great Shuttlecraft kit. There has never been an accurate one available (which is why I made one for myself, lol) but I think there would be a market for a nice studio scale kit (or bigger). It, like the TOS Enterprise is such an iconic ship. Also, I'm glad to hear the mold will last so long. Hopefully you will still be popping these out when I can afford one, lol.

Guys...thanks for all the nice comments. It pleases me most that you are learning things that will ad you in model making.

Steve

No video tonight it got late I’ll post tomorrow. But here are some pictures. The engineering hull molds are made and I’ll open them tomorrow morning. Lots of interesting stuff in the video that will explain what you’re seeing.

This is starting to look serious. Have have the entire hull molds sitting here. What relief!

Man if I wasn't 3000 miles away I would take up that offer Lol, How are you looking in terms of silicone Steve?.

Thanks guys.

As for the silicone I have about 2 and a half gallons left over. That leaves plenty. I've been lucky so far.

Main reason is I'm making the silicone jackets painfully thin and getting away with it. There is a point of no return though. But this 1065 is very strong at a 8th of an inch were as some other silicones would have torn.

I think I speak for everyone here in saying you'd have a line of modellers a mile long willing to be your apprentice for no pay just for the chance to marvel up close at the skills you possess Steve.
If only distance and other obligations didn't pose such an obstacle.

Steve thanks. You'd think being in Hollywood as I am there would be more modelers in this town. But it's a ghost town now to me.

Watching the videos makes me feel like I'm with a friend teaching me all these things. Nice and down to earth and it really sinks in. Many AHA moments. Your videos are very confidence building. I know you hear it a lot but THANK YOU. This is information that most charge for, but you're doing it for the love of the hobby and we thank you.

Projects I had no idea how to do are becoming more feasible because of this thread. I can't thank you enough.
