Hi everyone! So im new here, and have finally begun working on my own project after days ( ok weeks ) of trolling and watching as many things as i can on constructing my own bucket ! ( I think thats right lol ) So i started, like many of you on here, with a pepakura of the stormtrooper helmet ! I have a mac so i hunted down for the PDF files that Spacecowboy created ! after days of constructing it ( I thought it would take way less time. silly me) i finished it off and put a coat of resin on it ! Sadly though, the weather changed dramatically and while i was out it chucked it down with rain... so while my helmet was drying from the resin... it got soaked :cry Surprisingly, it survived! so after its dried off i will continue to re-resin and repair! Then on to bondo i go ! it looks really big to me and was wondering if it was just me, or the files were meant to be sized down? didnt think so but in a way it worked out for the better ! as im 6 foot 5 and have a head large enough to match ! here are the pics !
and cool because i was really worried about the size lol. so i re resined, and fiberglassed the inside. I also cut off the lower jaw since it was really warped ( and it would have been hellish to fiberglass otherwise) but i think bondo-ing it will fix the problem ! i was hoping to make this a master , and make a mold if it turns out well ! So ill have some for halloween, and duplicates for friends ! well so then i could afford to make more lol ! but thanks for ur comment
