Stormtrooper Blaster from real working Sterling question

I'm sure this has been done but with the various Sterlings and copycats out there that don't cost much more than the MR replicas I was wondering if anyone had taken a real working Sterling or Copy and added the Stormtrooper stuff to it.

I'm curious if the scopes and what not can be added and the gun still function and real curious it the T track can go on and it still fire without any problem.

Thanks

Why would you not be able to add that stuff and still have it fire? They did in the movies.

Functional Sterlings cannot be imported into the US anymore and the ones that are here require a Class III license to possess. None of the add-ons would affect the functionality of the weapon, but if you had a functional Sterling, would you really want to alter such a rare piece?

I was actually thinking of one of the copies that are readily available in the U.S. for about $600. They are semi-Auto and don't need a Class III.

True but they have a longer barrel and front front nozzle piece. You can convert it to a SBR (Short Barelled Rifle) with a $200 stamp and some paperwork.

Actually, i think some pieces might fall of...

OK, 9mm dosen't have a great recoil, but as it happens in any gun, some parts are moving with great force and a recoil is also created from firing the bullet. Then the gun has to cycle, eject the case of the fired cartridge, and load a new one. That means that some parts have to apply a great force to a spring and when this force can press the spring anymore, the spring will launch these things back so a new bullet will be loaded.

Having a rail with a scope, and Hengstler, holding in place with two or one small screws can be a problem. Also the targeting sensors will make the magazine eject button not easily accessible.

Not sure, but i guess if you fire it for a long time, something might break off.
Well, if you do it like we do the props. Why don't you ask a gunsmith about adding a rail?
You can tell him that you want a Universal Rail for Red-Dots and he will tell you if it can be placed or not.

You speak about real firearms, firing live ammo, so thats a bit beyond the knowledge of most people here i believe. :unsure
