Well, I have decided to try to make a costume as an overzealous first build. After much internal debate, I settled on a storm trooper. I mean, who doesn't like Star Wars! I went out without posting any help threads and I found my way around the internet to all the resources I needed; mainly the feirfek pepakura model and general instructions, and I went on my way. So, right now I am finished with the first bit of resining and I am going to start on the fiberglassing soon*. So, I am going to document my adventure here, and I am open to all sorts of critique and encouragement (not that I will listen to it, but post it anyways :p) This won't be exactly screen spec, but it will be recognizable to what it is supposed to be, so don't be to harsh.
*soon might mean Internet/Valve time

Picture time!

First Part!
My Pepakuraing-So I started and went on my way hit a few kinks but here are some halfway pics. I will add more to this post when I get the few I have on my iPad off there as well.

Resin time!
Wen and resined the helmet and here is the result. It is a little hard to see in pictures, but it gets the point across.

I accidentally my pictures so I will have to add to this section tomorrow as well.

Anyways, I hope I can make this look good! Thanks for reading this lurkers post!

Yeah, I hope it turns out great in the end as well! At this point in the build I would say it is well worth it...It isn't hard, just tedious, and it requires patience, but it ends up being more fun than it should be for just taping little pieces together.

Working on this also. I'm not sure the vocoder is worth all the effort.
I didnt support it enough when resining so my black band looks like a stunt trooper lid.
I also cut the extended bump on the ears off and redid with styrene.
I'll have more pics up soon if you want to compair

Yeah, I ended up not attaching those just because they were a pain in general, and I wanted to make them look good and keep them easy by doing it after the first resin. After fiberglass I plan on sculpting the parts back in. So, yeah, I would like to compare some of the pictures as well.
