I know this is short notice August 13-14 Home - StocktonCon but it is not as expensive as the ones in the SF Bay Area. Last time I went to one here was maybe 10 years ago? It still had that Homegrown Nerdy feel to it and reminded me of the Cons I used to atttend in the late 70s and early 80s before Corporate America took over.
