Well, it's been a long while, but as I've finally finished a project, here's some pictures:

The Brits have a space program? :confused

Seriously though, that is a mighty fine piece of work there. I am not a fan of "steampunking" everything that comes down the pipe, but this is a winner to me.

Hahahaha, SUPER cool!
It makes me want to see the movie this appears in
Someone make this movie!

Guys, forgive my ignorance, but what is STEAMPUNK, and where or how did it start. I saw several STEAMPUNK type costumes at Dragoncon.

Thanks.

There's a lot of steampunk stuff out there and only a small percentage of it is really clever and well done. This is one of the better pieces that I've seen and a stunning display.

Steam punk is derived from the term Cyber punk. It's hyper science in the Victorian era, with steam power as the primary form of power.

Think The Time Machine, or 20,000 leauges under the sea.

What you need now is one of those old sponge diver diving suits as a space suit..

Very Proper British look.

Can you tell us a bit about some of the parts you used?

nice that the dome is tall enough for the Gentleman to wear his tophat :)

Outstanding! One of the most original and creative pieces I have seen this year. Excellent job!

I am reading through the thread chronicling your build as I type. Thank you for sharing this experience.

Very nice! Not really a fan of steampunk, but a great piece of work always gets my attention. As said by others, the tophat sets it off nicely.
