...or other references?

I'm also looking for Lightwave 3d models or heck, even plastic/resin models
of the F-37 Talon fighter plane.

Also looking for good quality costume/helmet pics.

Any pointers?

Thanks,

Russ

Already read that one. Not much progress happening there. Plus, the one guy's model was like 1/24 scale... about 3 feet long! :)

You say that like it's a bad thing! :O

Did you check the various references you can get to off that thread? Some good stuff there. The build itself looks reference-quality to me.

LOL, I don't have room in my living room for a 3 foot long display model. Wife would kill me. ;)

Yeah, I grabbed the plane references. Now I just need to find some good pics of the costumes. Not much luck thus far.

Thanks!

Your Google-Fu is superior, Master! ;)

That photo of Jessica Biels(sp) alone is great! You can pretty much make out what kind of stitching was used on the flight harness.

Nifty stuff!

Too bad there wasn't any behind the scenes tours of the costuming department like there have been in other films.

I spoke to Ian just yesterday about that project. He still plans on finishing that for eventual kit release. :)

Here is a link to the Study Model Photos for the Talon and EDI...

It is probably not what you are looking for being that you are requesting costuming reference, but I thought I would post the link anyway. ;)

I already nabbed those images the other day. :D

Thanks for the link though! I'd like to get something like this modeled in Lightwave. That would be pretty cool.

If I remember correctly, the mentor of my mentor shot the minis for this show.

Let me see what I can find out.

Kurt, that is good news. It is one of not many projects that, assuming I had stupid money available at the time, I'd willingly pay stupid money for. :)
Thanks for the news!!

Agreed! I am excited as well. :D

About files in lightwave.... I think Barry Murray was working on some about 6 months ago that looked REALLY good. I don't know if he is a member here or not, but he usually goes by bar on the message boards he frequents. ;)

If you're into Sketchup, there is a real good version over on the 3D Warehouse. Its downloadable in both Sketchup and Colada format i think. Sketchup is free so give it a shot.

Sorry to Necro-post this, but has anyone seen a modeling sheet schematic or line drawing layout with top, bottom, front/rear and side views of the Talon Fighter?

I thought I had one, but I lost a LOT of references when my desktop PC crashed and many of the links above link to files or photos that are no longer available. :(

Any help appreciated.

Russ

I just saw that this week. :) Tempted. Wish it was a little larger than 1/72 scale though.

I have some pics of the Talon from filming in 2004. I just have to find were I put them.

Shoot me a PM and I can get them to you.
