Embarking on another Starship Troopers effort. This time I am looking at the armor. I have scanned a set of screen used armor and am getting to work on modeling it up. Because it is soft and pliable, there is a lot of distortion, but I love the geometric approach. There is a certain elegance to it. Two challenges I expect to face are 1) How much softness do I put in the model (rounding edges with a slight radius) and how much of the manufacturing marks from the originals do I put in place.
