Starship project

After getting off the phone with my fiberglass supplier, I was told I could use a clear chopped strand filler that I can mix in with the epoxy dramatically shortening the time and epoxy it takes to make one.

Knowing that I'm now lowering the price of the DVD with free clear reference kit to $600 plus shipping.

It's amazing. The cloth weave in the photo's is the most expensive glass product that I know of. We use fiberglass matt in the shop here. It's easy to work with but we use polyester resin instead of epoxie. I have no idea how well matt works with epoxie.

I have to say that the results you got with the cloth are amazing. They are almost opticaly clear.

Holy Moly...

All I can say is that I know the time and money that you've placed into these reference kits and let me tell ya.... I can tell that the quality that is being done and has been shown here is nothing less than the best. So.... at $600 a pop,.... that is an insanely low price. INSANELY LOW PRICE... I feel like a Sunday Ad, but it just seems unreal. I can't imagine anyone not getting one. That would just be an opportunity wasted in my humble opinion. Incredible. I hope you're ready to do a ton of casting?... I am sure you are going to be one tired puppy.

Richard,... You are truely THE MAN. An insane man,.. but still THE MAN...

Just insane. :)

Thanks.

Here's a comparison pic with the AA Ent E

Now that I have another nacelle I tested to see if they both line up straight. And they do...whew.

My wife calls it Wonderwoman's starship.

The two TV Trays give it great size reference.

They certainly do for me. I have those same type of trays.

When I get mine, I will have it unpainted clear frosty looking fiberglass and make the display case, painted it to look like its frosted too. Viola ice sculpture Ent-E. :D

He's probably cooking somethin' up on the uh...prototype. :p

I'm going to mask off the windows and primer it before I post the pics, it's hard to see the detail when it's clear.

Sounds like another great idea Richard. I was hoping to see the clear version as well. Is that possible?

I will call ya in a bit.
