Stark Industries at Dragon*Con

I should start by saying that the group that we hang out with at D*C doesn't costume. Most of them anyway don't. So the idea came up that we should try to do a group costume. Of course, people who don't costume have a hard time investing $ into a costume.

So I was planning to do the Tony Stark thing anyway at the con, so an idea was born to create a Stark Industries group. The guys would be bodyguards/security considering that most men own a dark suit. We recruited some sexy ladies to play Tony's arm candy, Lady_S was there as Pepper Potts, Tracy was working to get into the Natasha Romanoff character and we even ended up with Matt Damon. BobsPhotoShow was our camera guy and snapped away at every turn.

The whole thing ended up being a ton of fun and we are already planning to do something like this again.

I want to thank the good folks from the paper props thread for contributing to our badges :)

Some of the favorites and the rest can be found here: http://www.starkindus.com/starkindusdc/index.htm

You make a damn good Tony Stark, good job. Group costumes are always cool, I've always wanted to be part of one.

Wow looks great! You guys make an awesome costume group...and you totally look the part! Excellent stuff!:thumbsup

Thanks everyone (and for those extra pics!!) and yes we hear at Stark Industries enjoy Pepper's legs too (don't tell HR) :love

LoganAllen, we plan to do this again, maybe at SDCC and if we do plans are in the works to do some location photos. That should be fun!

Hahaha... Miss Potts, Hogan and I discussed this at length. Happy insured us that if we doubled up on the security detail, that the drinking would not be an issue, apparently 16 somewhat intoxicated security personell is as good as 8 sober ones. While I am not sure about that, one thing is certain, everyone had fun and payroll has 8 more security guys to cover for the night. :lol

Tony Stark is awesome to let his security staff drink on the job!!!:lol:lol:lol:lol

Thanks,

I got lazy watch wise and went with a nice looking Fossil. I found a replica that was $250 and considering that maybe 1% of the population would even know which watch it was, I decided to wait.

Charmed!
what watch do you used,i know that the original watch is $$$$$$$:sick

I saw this thread a long time ago and I was completely stunned by how well you all pulled it off. But I have recently been searching for a close match to Tony's blue tie from his navy pinstripe suit from Afghanistan. Have you had any success getting a good match?

This is the perfect example of how sometimes the simplest costume outshines the more elaborate ones. Well done, it looks like you had a great time.

Funny this should be bumped up. A friend of mine is working on a Stark (he just got a pair of the glasses he wears in the Jerico scenes) but we are having alot of trouble getting hold of one of those MIT rings. Although he wears specifically the 2007 ring, any would do! Did you have any success in finding one?
